What do I need to have handy to open a checking or savings account with MutualBank?

You'll be asked to present your U.S. Social Security number and one valid form of identification.


Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • Driver's license

  • State ID

  • Military ID

  • Passport

 

You will also need to provide personal information, including:

  • Date of birth

  • Former mailing address(es)

 

If you are not a U.S. Citizen or are a U.S. Resident Alien and do not have this information, we will be unable to complete your enrollment online. Please visit one of our financial centers for assistance.

How quickly will I receive my debit card after opening my checking account?

If you opened a new checking account with MutualBank online, please allow 7-10 business days for your debit card to arrive. Once you receive your new debit card, please call the 800-number on the front of your card to activate it and set up your pin.

Your Point-of-sale (POS) transactions will be limited to $2,000.00 within 24 hours and your ATM withdrawals will be limited to $500.00 within 24 hours.

Yes, we use encryption technology for online security. Encryption technology helps provide secure transmission of information online by encoding the transmitted data using a mathematical formula to scramble the data. Without a corresponding "decoder," the transmission would look like nonsense text and would be unusable.

If you opened a new statement savings account with MutualBank, please allow 7-10 business days for your ATM card to arrive. You will not need to activate your ATM card.

Limits:
Your ATM withdrawals will be limited to $200.00 within 24 hours.

You have the option to edit your application information prior to submitting the information to MutualBank. Simply click on the "Edit" button above the grouping of information you would like to change, and you will be permitted to change your input.

Transfers from one of your existing accounts at another financial institution to your new MutualBank account will occur within three business days. If you currently are a MutualBank customer and are transferring money from an existing account with us, the transfer will occur on the next business day.
